JEFFNET is the non-commercial, community-based Internet service of the JPR Listeners Guild. Committed to the same public service mission as Jefferson Public Radio, JEFFNET’s online environment encourages life-long learning, facilitates constructive civic dialogue, limits commercialism, and respects member privacy. JEFFNET provides v.92 accelerated dial-up service throughout the JPR listening area and high-speed connection options that include Qwest DSL and AFN for Ashland residents. Each JEFFNET account includes: powerful spam and virus protection, multiple email boxes, personal web storage space, 24-hour technical assistance/7 days a week and nationwide remote access for members who travel. Using JEFFNET supports Jefferson Public Radio and its online services, including iJPR (JPR’s web audio service), the JPR Events Calendar and Listener Forums.
